If we understand the body as our first home and inner environment, through which we experience the outer environment with our senses, then SOMALINGUA is something like the original dialect of this home and the bridge language between the conscious and the unconscious, between “above” (mind) and “below” (instinct), and between inside and outside.
In his five axioms of communication theory, Austrian psychotherapist and communication scientist Paul Watzlawick postulated that it is impossible not to communicate.
Accordingly, SOMALINGUA, as embodied language, is not something you have to work hard to acquire, but is already available to us in the process and „just“ requires our mindful attention.
Broadly speaking, a language consists of three components:
Applied to the body and its language, we can find these components reflected in posture, body tension, and movement quality, as well as in breathing dynamics and voice tone. The meaning we attribute to it is shaped by the “cultural package” we have acquired, as well as our individual imaginary world throug which we process and evaluate experiences, including our own physicality, narratives, and — ultimately — our own life story.
The body language that we use quite naturally in everyday life therefore always encompasses a somatic (biological), cultural or socially influenced, and subjective dimension. These dimensions interpenetrate each other.
Coaching gives you the opportunity to take a closer look at ingrained patterns, untangle interconnections, and try out new paths and connections where they cause problems or block you.
You determine the direction and pace yourself.
The duration of a coaching process and the frequency of sessions vary greatly depending on the client and their needs.
However, one thing always remains the same: we start with a non-binding initial consultation. This serves as an opportunity to get to know each other and assess whether body-oriented coaching is what you need right now.
The consultation lasts about 20 minutes and is, of course, free of charge.

The main difference between coaching and therapy is that therapy focuses on healing an ailment, whereas coaching is aimed at healthy people who, for example, want to get to know themselves better, realize their potential, seek inspiration, desire more clarity, need help making decisions, or want support through a process of change.
However, body-oriented coaching can also accompany therapy, for example, to better cope with unpleasant accompanying symptoms of a medical therapy and to support the body in its regeneration in the best possible way.
Symptoms of illness always require medical clarification.
In order to avoid undesirable cross-effects, open communication with me and the medical/therapeutic practitioners is important.
After operations, injuries, drug therapies, or an ICD-10 diagnosis that has not yet been treated, in your own interest, you must discuss possible risks and things to avoid with your medical practitioner first and ask them for their approval.
Mental illnesses such as depression, eating disorders, or even severe physical addictions (medication, alcohol, etc.) can stand in the way of a coaching process. Their treatment should always take priority and deserves the attention of a qualified therapist or doctor.
Contrary to what is often seen on social media, the treatment of trauma does not belong in a coaching setting, but rather in the care of specially trained therapists.
The website Therapie.de provides a good overview of recognized therapy methods in Germany and can facilitate the search for a suitable therapist. In acute crisis situations, please contact your regional crisis service (e.g., Berliner Krisendienst) or the appointment service of your local association of statutory health insurance physicians.
Body-oriented coaching is not a service within the meaning of the German Heikpraktikergesetz (Healing Practitioners Act). Please always consult your family doctor first for clarification and treatment of physical complaints.
For most topics and processes, a series of approximately four appointments has shown to be helpful to bring along change.
I offer a package for this:
1 x 90-minute initial appointment
3 x 60-minute follow-up appointments
The appointments can be taken within a period of four to a maximum of twelve weeks.
The package can be booked for €500.
Payment in installments is possible upon request.
If you would prefer to book individual appointments instead, this is possible under the following conditions:
– 60 minutes – €130
– 90 minutes – €200
Special conditions and arrangements are possible for longer-term support, e.g., therapy support for people with chronic illnesses. Please feel free to talk to me about what you need and what your options are.

In addition to numerous training and further education courses in yoga, functional physio yoga (LYT®), massage therapy, somatic body and voice work, I completed a two-year coaching training course at the Institute for Integrative Yoga Psychology in Berlin in 2022.
Since then, I have been accompanying people in individual settings. I have been active as a teacher of yoga and somatic movement forms since 2016.

No prior knowledge is necessary.
A little curiosity and courage to get to know yourself better will enrich the coaching process. But you decide for yourself how much you want to share about yourself and your history.
For the sessions, I recommend comfortable clothing that allows you to breathe easily and move freely.
Everything else will be provided on site.
